Week 11 Devlog


This week, the Alpha playtest took place during class time, we had the first years come in to test our game in a 5-minute rotation. We, unfortunately, had a technical issue at the beginning of the playtest that didn't allow a few of the playtesters to test the game out. We instead showed them a recording of the gameplay to give them an idea of how the game would be played and asked them to fill out the playtest feedback as best as possible. I (Darragh) kept working on the issue that was preventing us from playtesting and eventually solved it which allowed the rest of the playtesters to play the game. Overall, the feedback we got was very positive, people found the game fun to play, and we had a few playtesters who said the game was either too hard or too easy. We also had some people point out some misplaced assets, we had a tester also mention increasing the clarity of direction the player should be going which I edited during the playtest. 

I will continue working on the feedback presented to us during the playtest.
